Returns JSON with recent news articles matching keywords: headline, URL, source, publish time, authors, tone, image and the people and organizations named, from GDELT.

Use when you need news articles or headlines from the last 72 hours about a topic, company or person.

Do not use when you need full article text, paywalled sources, non-English coverage or news older than 72 hours.

Price: 0.008 USDC per call (x402, eip155:8453). Typical response time: 600 ms (p95).

Call it over HTTP (x402)

POST https://x402-gateway.blackwoodstate8.workers.dev/v1/news-headlines. A request without payment gets 402 Payment Required with the PAYMENT-REQUIRED header; any x402 client signs an EIP-3009 authorization and retries with PAYMENT-SIGNATURE (or X-PAYMENT). Invalid input is answered with 400 and not charged.
